our estate
We produce wines of award-winning quality which are true to our estate, and perfectly reflect the taste of Sussex. Our magnificent 160 acre estate is home to abundant wildlife and stunning scenery.
Among our rolling hills you will see the historic Bluebell steam train, a winding river, fishing lakes and our organic apple orchard, and with over five kilometres of natural woodland walks, you can explore our breath-taking land at your leisure.
Our Vineyard
With over 70 acres of vines and several different varietals of grape in the ground we are able to produce a significant number of bottles per year.
We have been operating organically since 2019 as sustainability and the environment is paramount to us, and we want to protect the beauty and quality of our land.
Our History
With an impressive history, Mill Place Farm was once owned by the famous horticulturist and father of the English country garden, William Robinson, in the early 1930s.
The farmhouse itself was built in 1320 as an Iron Master’s house, while the visitor centre has recently been constructed from such heritage and consists of an original 15th Century Tithe barn. This inspiring building hosts wine tastings, conferences, events and private functions.
